I Did Not Object

First they came for the foreigners here in America and took them away. I did not object.

Next they invaded other countries and came for people who they said were enemy combatants and took them away. I did not object.

Then they declared some Americans enemy combatants and took them away. They said they did not need to provide proof to the American people. I did not object.

Then they came for the protesters and took them away. I did not object.

Then they denied all people their constitutional rights and took away anyone who tried to exercise them. I did not object.

Then they declared anyone opposed to the party in power an enemy combatant and came for them and took them away. I did not object.

Then they declared anyone opposed to the policies of the government is an enemy combatant and took them away. I did not object.

Then they came for the judges, whose job is to protect our constitution and rights, and took them away. I did not object.

Then they declared anyone, it did not matter whether you supported them or not, could be taken away. I did not object.

Then they came for me and took me away. I OBJECT!

But it was too late. Once they started to take our rights away, no one was safe.

I'm George Bush

I Did Not Object
